Nuapada: A Maoist camp was busted by the personnel of CRPF inside a forest near Bhainsadani under Boden police limits in Nuapada district.
According to reports, the CRPF personnel have seized two pistols, 32 gelatin bombs, 27 detonators, live bullets and gun powder from the spot.
It is suspected that the red rebels were planning something big as they were having such a huge cache of arms and ammunition which is enough to spread violence in the region, a CRPF personnel informed.
Reportedly, the CRPF has intensified combing operation in the border area as the panchayat elections in Chhattisgarh is underway and the Maoists have resurfaced with their plans of violent activities.
As per reports, a combing operation lead by Commando Rajesh Bas of CRPF 216 Battalion was underway when the security personnel came across the rebel camp. However, the Maoists managed to escape the spot after seeing the police movement in the hills.
