Bolangir: Maoist banners issuing life threat to suspected police informers were found put up at Harishankarpitha under Khaparakhol police limits in this district.
According to sources, some locals spotted two banners put up by red rebels at Harishankarpitha this morning and informed the police about the same.
As per reports, the posters have been issued by the Bargarh-Bolangir Mahasamud (BBM) Divisional Maoist Committee.
In the posters, the rebels have warned some suspected police informers present in Khaparakhol to surrender before them or face death penalty. The banned outfit has further raised voice against the Centre’s three-language formula and handing over of NMDC at Dantewada’s Kirandul to a private company.
Through the posters, the insurgents have also vowed to take revenge for the recent encounters of Maoist cadres at Dudukamal and Salepalli.
The local police have seized the Maoist banners from the spot and intensified search in the area.
