New Delhi: Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary won gold in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup in New Delhi on Wednesday.
This is India’s third gold in this year’s first ISSF World Cup, after Chaudhary’s air pistol and Apurvi Chandela’s 10m air rifle medal.
The teenage pair (Manu is 17 and Saurabh, 16) combined to shoot a total of 483.4 points in the event. Teams from China and Republic of Korea won silver and bronze respectively.
On the other hand, the other Indian pair of Heena Sidhu and Abhishek Verma failed to qualify for the final, shooting a total of 770 points.
Earlier in the day, Manu and Saurabh reached the final of the event and also equalled Qualification World Record score of 778 with Bhaker scoring 385 while 10m air pistol gold medallist scoring 393.
