Dhenkanal: A man was trampled to death while another was injured after being attacked by a tusker at Kunteiputa Sahi in Kamakhya area in Dhenkanal district.
The deceased was identified as Bhuban Behera and the injured has been identified as Jadumani Sahu of the same locality.
Reportedly, the incident took place when Bhuban and Jadumani were working at their agricultural field when a jumbo attacked the duo and trampled Bhuban to death on the spot.
However, Jadumani managed to escape with injuries. Later, Jadumani was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
On receiving information, the forest personnel reached the spot and assured to provide compensation to the family of the deceased.
