Bolangir: A man was killed after being hit by a train at Lantabanji Muribahal railway level crossing in the district today.
The deceased has been identified as Parmeshwar Hans (38) from Turekela village under Sindhekela police station limits.
Reportedly, the incident took place while Parmeshwar had gone to attend nature’s call near the railway tracks. While walking close to the tracks he was hit by the train which was running at its scheduled time. As Parmeshwar had partial-paralysis he could not run to save his life.
On being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot and recovered the mutilated body from the railway tracks.
Later, the body was sent for post-mortem and police registered a case of unnatural death in this regard.
