Man Held For Duping Youth On Pretext Of Providing Franchisee In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police has arrested a person here for allegedly duping a youth on the pretext of giving him a franchisee Coca-Cola company.

The arrestee has been identified as Biswanath Naik (41) of Ranja Kanakadapa village in Dhenkanal.

According to reports, Biswanath contacted the victim introducing himself Ashok Das, an employee of Coca-Cola Company.

Later the accused offered him a franchisee Coca-Cola company. Following this, Soumya agreed to his proposal and gave him Rs 17 lakh. However, after getting money, Biswanath remained untouched.

With no option left, Soumya lodged a complaint with Nayapalli police station regarding the fraud.

On the basis of the complaint, police launched a probe and arrested the accused.

Following this, a case has been registered under sections 420, 419, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and further investigation is underway in this connection.
