Angul: Police have arrested a man from Katapali village of Kishore Nagar block in Angul district for allegedly assaulting his elderly and sick mother.
As per reports, the matter came to the fore after distressing footage of the act went viral on social media. In the video, the accused, who happens to be a local teacher, was seen beating his sick mother.
On the basis of the footage, police arrested the accused after registering a case. He will soon be forwarded to court, Angul SP, Jagmohan Meena informed.
