Sambalpur: A man was hacked to death by two unidentified miscreants in Govindtola area under Dhanupali police limits of Sambalpur district over alleged past enmity.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Jadak.
As per available reports, the incident took place while Deepak was returning home from work last night when the two assailants attacked him with sharp weapons.
Deepak was rescued by locals and rushed to Sambalpur Hospital in critical condition. He was later shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla where he succumbed to his injuries.
On being informed, police reached the spot and have initiated a probe into the matter.
