Sundargarh: A man was beaten to death allegedly by his neighbour at Purunapani Kadamtoli in Sundargarh district on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Jual Surin (27) of the same village.
According to reports, Jual had gone to attend the birthday party of his neighbour last night. Several other residents were also present at the function.
However, Jual and his neighbour indulged in a violent argument over some issue. In a fit of rage, Â the man attacked Jual and hit his head with an iron rod before fleeing the spot.
Following this, Jual collapsed on the ground and others rushed him to Rourkela Government Hospital. However, the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
Later, Hatibadi police handed over the body to the family members after post-mortem. Besides, the cops have also detained the accused man for interrogation.
