Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness winter in the next two days as the low-pressure system over Bay of Bengal has weakened, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
According to the Met official, the amount of rainfall has decreased and most parts of Odisha will witness dry weather as the low-pressure system over Bay of Bengal has weakened. Following the change in weather, the state will soon witness winter, added the officer.
A low pressure formed over Bay of Bengal had triggered continuous rain for the past three days across the state. While communication in some areas was completely disrupted, many houses were damaged following landslide due to heavy downpour.
Train services were also badly affected due to the rain. Following this, the Railways had to cancel some trains.
