Low pressure likely to trigger heavy rain in Odisha


Bhubaneswar: A low pressure has been formed over the Andaman sea under the impact of which some districts of Odisha are likely to witness heavy rainfall on November 9, informed the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)on Monday.

According to IMD officials, under the influence of Yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over north Andaman Sea, a Low Pressure Area has formed over north Andaman Sea and associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 Km above mean sea level. It is very likely to become Well Marked Low-Pressure Area during the next 12 hours and move west-northwestwards.

It is very likely to concentrate into a Depression over East Central Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours and intensify further with northwestwards movements.

Weather Forecast from 4th to 7th Novmeber, 2019: Dry Weather very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha during next four days.
Weather Forecast for 8th November, 2019: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Weather outlook for subsequent two days (9th & 10th November, 2019): Increase in rainfall activity with isolated heavy rain over the district of coastal Odisha.
