Low Pressure Likely To Intensify Into Cyclone


Bhubaneswar: A low pressure which may form in South Andaman Sea around November 30 is likely to intensify into a Cyclone, said IMD DG Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra.

According to the top officials, if the system forms, it will turn into a depression by December 2 causing rain across the State.

As per the IMD release, a low-pressure area is likely to develop over the South Andaman sea on and around November 30, and it is predicted to move in a west-northwestward direction.

Under the impact of this, several districts of Odisha will witness rainfall from December 3.
