Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre here has informed formation of low pressure area around August 6-7.
Under the influence of this, southern parts of Odisha will experience rainfall activities, said the IMD.
Earlier, in the day, the IMD said that there is no possibility of heavy rainfall in Odisha and the maximum temperature across the State will be high during the next three days.
Soon after the southwest monsoon subdued over Odisha, many parts of the State recorded above normal temperature, it added.
As many as 18 places across the State have recorded temperature above 35 degree Celsius In the last 24 hours.
Angul became the hottest city registering 36.1 degree Celsius followed by Sambalpur at 36 degree Celsius.
