Lok Sabha polls will be a fight between hatred and love: Rahul Gandhi


Ahmedabad: The Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the Lok Sabha elections offer a choice between Mahatma Gandhi’s India and Nathuram Godse’s India.

Gandhi said :”It’s a fight between ideologies. ​On one side is hatred, symbolised by Godse; and on the other side is love, symbolised by Mahatma Gandhi and Gujarat’s heritage.

The grand old party held a meeting of its working committee (CWC) here in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections starting on April 11.

Party sources said it was held to give a final shape to the strategy for the national elections that will be held in seven phases in April.

The CWC meeting was attended by top Congress leaders, including party president Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi, their mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh.
