Sundergarh: A liquor shop staff was robbed of Rs 14.93 lakh at a gunpoint in Rourkela city of Sundergarh district on Monday.
The victim, identified as Prasant Biswal, was headed towards Udit Nagar on his two-wheeler after collecting money when he was intercepted by two bike-borne miscreants near the municipal corporation office at around 9 am.
The miscreants then held a gun to the head of the victim while another pointed a knife towards his stomach before snatching the cash and fleeing the spot.
Following the incident, Prasant approached the police station and filed a case. Based on plaint, Police have launched an investigation.
