Lingaraj Temple to reopen for servitors from Dec 27

Bhubaneswar: Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar will reopen for servitors from December 27, according to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said a decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting on Tuesday.

Official sources said that the temple will be reopened for the servitors from December 27 to 31. The devotees of Bhubaneswar will be allowed from January 3 to 5.

The BMC said Lingaraj temple will remain closed for January 1 and 2 and will reopen for the devotees from the across the state from January 6.
