Bhubaneswar: Minister for Electronics & IT, Sports and Youth Affairs Tusharkanti Behera has said the liberalisation and IT policy of the government will boost investment in the industry.
Behera who was in Bengaluru recently to visit a number of industries in the silicon valley said he discussed with industrialists and business leaders for the growth of an ecosystem and investment in the industrial sector of the state.
The minister said he undertook wide-ranging discussions with industrialists about the future of information technology in the state. Behera said he assured the tycoons about Odisha’s efficiency and required infrastructure in the related field.
The minister had apprised the business leaders about the advantage of a stable government under the stewardship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for 19 years. The company heads reportedly appreciated the initiative taken by Odisha government for boosting IT sector and assured the minister that they would focus on the state more effectively.
Behera discussed with heads of Crypton, STPI and other companies who gave him assurances for investing in the state.
