Leopard Hide Smuggling: Odisha Man Arrested In Chhattisgarh


Nuapada: Chhattisgarh police have arrested a man, hailing from Odisha’s Nuapada district, on charges of Leopard hide smuggling near the border of both the neighbouring states.

Addressing a presser, Gariaband SP said that the accused man, who hails from Nangalbod village under Sinapali Police limits in Nuapada district, was arrested when he was trying to find a buyer across Chhattisgarh border for a whole leopard skin.

The accused have been booked under multiple sections of the IPC and Wildlife Protection Act. Further investigation is on to establish his connections with notorious elements in other states.
