Mumbai: Legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to Breach Candy hospital in South Mumbai as she complained of difficulty in breathing in the early hours of Monday.
According to reports, her health condition is critical and has been admitted in the ICU. The authorities of Breach Candy say that she is under observation and her condition is currently stable.
Reports further claim that the 90-year-old Lata Mangeshkar was brought in around 1.30 am on Monday after she complained of chest congestion. Her niece has confirmed that she is currently in Breach Candy, under treatment.
Mangeshkar, who has lent her voice to over 1,000 songs in Hindi alone, was awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour in the country, in 2001.
