Landmine Recovered During Combing Operations On Odisha-Chhattisgarh Border


Malkangiri: A team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans had a close shave, as a powerful landmine planted by Maoists in Minapa forest in Chhattisgarh bordering Malkangiri district of Odisha, was detected and defused today.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the CRPF jawans of 206 battalion detected the explosive material during operation in the forest.

The explosive device was retrieved and defused by the bomb disposal squad before it could cause any damage.

Meanwhile, combing operation in the area has further intensified following the recovery of the landmine, reports said.
