Jeypore: A senior forest officer landed in vigilance net on the day he got a promotion in Koraput district.
Lamtaput ACF Surjeet Sahu’s house was searched by the vigilance sleuths. A six-member team of vigilance carried out raids at his office at Lamtaput office and residence.
He was caught by the vigilance team from Koraput on Monday while he was going to Bhubaneswar from Lamtaput with a huge amount of money. The vigilance team raided his house only last night after seizing a huge amount of money.
He was promoted from ranger to ACF three days ago. He received the promotion letter from Koraput forest headquarters and heading towards Bhubaneswar while anti-graft team apprehended him
His vehicle has been seized, vigilance officials said.
