Koraput: Police rescued a minor girl in Laxmipur market in Koraput district on Tuesday. The girl was sitting near a tea stall in the market.

Early in the morning, when the owner of the stall came to open the stall, he noticed the girl being unconscious. So, he informed the police about her.

On intimation, a lady police officer reached the scene and took the girl to the police station. During interrogation, the police came to know that the girl belonged to Jeypore and she left home after a quarrel with his family members.

The police then sought help from the District Child Line to reunite her with her family members.
