KIIT’s annual techno-cultural fest kicks off
Bhubaneswar: The 5th edition of the annual techno-cultural fest of KIIT Deemed ‘KIIT Fest’ kicked off amidst much fanfare and splendour on Friday.
Sunit Tandon, Director, Indian Habitat Centre, Anup Kumar Das, Head, Resource Management, Ericsson, Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT and KISS, and the Vice-chancellor Prof Hrusikesh Mohanty, among others were present on the inaugural day.
The annual techno-cultural fest of KIIT has enticed a crowd of more than 25,000 students including more than 5000 students from various reputed technical institutes and universities across the country.
On the first day of the event, ‘KIIT Fest’ Mobile App was launched while annual magazine of KIIT Fest Kritika, Magazine of Civil Engineering Department, Nirminite, Magazine of Computer Science Department Kibibyte, Magazine of Electronics Department Kuriosity and Magazine of Mechanical Engineering Department- Yantra NXT were released by the guests.
During the three-day, techno-fest students will take part in 100 different events in various technical, cultural and innovative competitions. On February 16, a live show by Bollywood singer Armaan Malik will be the centre of attraction.
This apart, Prakash Iyre, a motivational speaker will join the fest on Sunday.
During the fest the School of Mechanical Engineering is organising various competitions in Yantriki, the School of Electrical Engineering is organizing Electrifyn, while School of Electronics Engineering organising Vidnan, School of Computer Applications organising Mirabilia, School of Computer Sciences- Luminaire, School of Biotechnology- Kinesis and School of Civil Engineering organising various competitions in the name of Nirminte.
