Khallikote Murder: Accused Siblings Arrested

Berhampur: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons involved in the murder of one Shankar Pahan at Ramchandrapur village under Khallikote police limits in Ganjam district.

The accused brothers have been identified as Sameer Sahu and Babul Sahu of Ramchandrapur village.

According to sources, the mother of deceased Shankar had lodged a complaint with Khallikote police station against Sammer, Babul and two other villagers who were also involved in the murder of her son.

Based on the complaint, police launched a manhunt to nab the accused persons. On Wednesday the cops team was successful in apprehending the accused duo and arrested them after identifying them through CCTV footage.

As per police sources, Sameer and Babul have been forwarded to the court.

Notably, on November 21, when Shankar was heading towards his village after finishing some work at Keshpur he was allegedly stoned to death by Sameer, Babul and two of their associated over suspected love affair.
