Cuttack: The Odisha Police on Wednesday appealed the people to maintain ‘sense over trend’ as the viral ‘Keke challenge’, also known as ‘In My Feelings challenge’ —which involves people jumping out of a moving car and dancing alongside it has taken the internet by storm.
In a tweet video, the Odisha Police has urged people to control their emotions and not get swayed away with the trend.
The ‘Keke challenge’ is inspired from Canadian rapper Drake’s latest hit song- ‘In My Feelings’ from his album ‘Scorpion’.
The craze began when internet comedian Shiggy posted a video on Instagram of himself dancing to the song. Since his video went viral, thousands of people across the globe have taken up the challenge.
Some videos of the dances uploaded to the internet show oblivious dancers crashing into poles, tripping on potholes or falling out of the cars. One video also shows a man being hit by a car while he dances.
In its appeal, the Odisha Police has urged people to prefer safety over trend as life is precious further claiming that family is prettier than ‘Keke’. The awareness video ends with, “Don’t get swayed away with what’s in trend. Your life deserves way more than that.”<>
