New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has urged its leaders to collect funds from the public by hosting crowdfunding tea, dinner and lunch parties.
Kejriwal’s suggestion comes at a time when the election season is round the corner in the national capital. Minister of Employment, Development in the Delhi government Gopal Rai, said such crowdfunding of parties are expected to start by December end.
The Kejriwal-led party is currently in the middle of a public relations campaign which is running under the leadership of various party MLAs. The party has also organised various outreach programmes at all the polling booths across Delhi.
The last election was held in February 2015 and will take place after five years of AAP government’s tenure.
