Srinagar: The Kashmir Valley is in the grip of widespread snowfall on Saturday.
The weather office, has however, said there would be an improvement in the weather condition from Sunday onwards.
MET department said the minimum temperatures improved across the Valley as night-long cloud cover has brought down the temperature.
According to the weather office Srinagar recorded minus 0.8 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 0.9 and Gulmarg minus 2.4 as the minimum temperatures on Saturday.
The temperature in Leh ,Kargil and Drass sectors recorded much below minus ten degree Celsius.
