Srinagar: Primary schools have reopened in J&K amid re-imposition of restrictions in different parts of Valley after clashes, reports said.
The reports said over 190 primary schools that were closed in some parts of Kashmir for over a week have reopened on Monday.
Media reports quoting J&K Principal Secretary, Planning and Development, Rohit Kansal said : “We have a plan of reopening over 190 primary schools in Srinagar district alone”.
Kansal said that the government will attempt to restore infrastructural and developmental works and all the landlines to their full functionality as soon as the overall situation further improves.
Besides schools, government offices across Kashmir Valley will also be resuming work today. Machail Yatra, which was stopped along with Amarnath pilgrimage, will also resume today.
The J&K principal secretary had said that as many as eight persons suffered injuries after clashes broke out between groups of youth and security forces at six places in the Valley on Saturday evening.
