Srinagar: Director, Schools Education, Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik said that schools in Kashmir are all set to reopen on Monday after the winter break.
Malik said that all arrangements were put in place in this regard. The timing for the schools falling within Srinagar’s municipal limits will be 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. while in rest of Kashmir division timings will be 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, he added.
The school children in Kashmir Valley have been missing their studies for the last seven months after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5.
The government opened the schools in a phased manner days after the revocation of Article 370, but the move proved a non starter as most students did not attend school. A shutdown coupled with a communications blockade in Kashmir also hit education in the valley.
