Mayurbhanj: Karanjia traders’ association has announced a complete shutdown of the market barring essential items, for the two days starting today.
The step has been taken in the wake of the second wave of coronavirus that has resulted in surge in infection across Odisha and the district.
The restrictions were clamped from today at 6 am will remain in force till 6 pm on April 28.
Reportedly, all the spots and markets in Karanjia NAC will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The traders’ association has also urged the local administration to impose a shutdown in the market.
All the essential shops will remain open, informed traders’ association.
