New Delhi: Congress leader Kamal Nath will take oath as the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister on December 17 at Lal Parade ground in Bhopal, news agencies said.
The reports said that Kamal Nath was selected by the party leadership on Thursday.
An emotionally charged Kamal Nath while reacting to the announcement of his selection as the Chief Minister said getting the post is a “milestone”.
The veteran Congress leader thanked Jyotiraditya Scindia for his support.
Kamal Nath said he would like to thank Jyotiraditya Scindia for supporting me and added he had worked with his father.
Reports said there will be no post of a deputy chief minister in the newly-elected Congress government in the state. It was on the air that Scindia may be offered the post of deputy CM.
