Seoul: The K-pop world was abuzz last night with rumors of a new celebrity couple, as claims of aespa’s Winter and ENHYPEN’s Jungwon dating went viral. However, both artists’ agencies have swiftly denied these rumors, labeling them as baseless and unfounded.
The speculation began when fans allegedly spotted Winter and Jungwon at the same bar in Chungdam. A social media post, which included supposed visual evidence of the duo’s outing, quickly gained traction. The post claimed that the two idols exited the venue separately but had spent time together prior to leaving.
In response, SM Entertainment, representing Winter, and Belift Lab, representing Jungwon, issued strong statements refuting the dating claims. SM Entertainment stated, “The individual who spread the photos appears to have initially contacted a media outlet with monetary motives. When the media outlet refused, the individual resorted to malicious distribution.” Belift Lab echoed this sentiment, asserting, “The dating rumors are not true”.
Both agencies emphasized their commitment to taking legal action against the spread of false information and protecting their artists’ reputations. This incident highlights the intense scrutiny and speculation that K-pop idols often face regarding their personal lives.
