Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday urged the officials to remain vigilant in July as the fight against Coronavirus will be decisive.
Interacting with District Collectors and SPs through video conferencing, Patnaik said provision of fund and training and assistance the COVID Care Committees is very essential.
The CM said he has been talking to COVID infected warriors to collect feedback. Patnaik said so far the feedback is good. He urged the officials to take care of COVID warriors as they are doing their best to save people. They should be sensitized in protecting themselves, he added.
The chief minister also urged them to ensure that the offices should be zero infection zones and the employees are protected at any cost. The head of the office has to provide them advisory on the dos and don’ts, Patnaik said and added that the office head will be responsible for any act of omission or commission.
Patnaik said nearly 4.7 lakh core committee members in the ward level are being trained properly to give a befitting fight back to the dreaded coronavirus. The people must not forget to use masks, sanitizers, and maintain social distancing to keep Covid-19 at bay.
The video conferencing was attended by the Chief Secretary, DG Police, Development Commissioner, 5T Secretary, District Collectors, and SPs.
