Judiciary, govt must work for a world class judicial system: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that Supreme Court of India has heard majority of cases through video conferencing in the world during pandemic.

Attending the Diamond Jubilee of High Court of Gujarat through video conferencing, PM Modi said the judiciary has always performed its duty and interpreted Constitution positively and creatively to strengthen it further.

PM Modi said our High Courts and District Courts have also carried out a large number of e-proceedings during coronavirus pandemic. The Prime Minister stressed that the ‘Rule of Law’ has been the basis of Indian culture and added that it is being valued for centuries.

The origin of ‘Swarajya’ lies there and it strengthened the country’s freedom struggle, the Prime Minister added. PM Modi asserted that the judiciary and the government should work jointly to establish a world-class judicial system in the country.
