Job Fraud Racket: Nabarangpur Police Nabs Four From Bhubaneswar


Nabarangpur: Intensifying crackdown on a job fraud racket, Nabarangpur police today nabbed four key accused from Jayadev Vihar area in Bhubaneswar.

The arrested persons were identified as Shiba Swain, Ramesh Chandra Mishra, Sumitra Nayak and Diptimayee Nayak of Berhampur.

As per reports,  one Kabita Nayak, a resident of Nabarangpur,  informed the district police that a job fraud racket, operating in the name of a computer training organisation (Addwell Global Service Limited) in Nabarangpur and Berhampur area, has duped as many as 500 youths on the pretext of providing jobs with high perks.

Acting on the complaint, a special team of the Nabarangpur police laid traps in these two districts and finally nabbed the masterminds from Bhubaneswar. The police also came to know that the racket has also swindled nearly Rs 10 lakh from people to open a head office in the state capital.

“The accused persons had collected Rs 4200 from each and they cheated as many as 500 job aspirants on the pretext of imparting computer training in Berhampur and Bhubaneswar. After failing to provide jobs, the cheaters neither returned the money nor provided any job to them,” said Kabita.

The arrested accused persons will be forwarded to the court. Police have also seized several important documents and a laptop from them, reports added.
