Jharsuguda: A construction worker charred to death after falling into the blast furnace of SMC 2 factory in Badamal area in Jharsuguda district on Saturday.
the deceased has been identified as Deb Narayan Mahato (36) of Bihar. He was working first-hand in a construction firm called Choudhiri Enterprises.
As per reports, the deceased worker was working in the furnace of the factory this morning as usual. For some reason, his leg slipped and he fell into the blast furnace there and was seriously injured. He was shifted to the district head hospital and the doctor declared him dead. The dead body has been sent to Burla for post-mortem.
