Jharsuguda: In a touching gesture, a police officer in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday set an example by helping an unknown ailing man in dire need.

District’s Brajarajnagar police station in-charge, Baikuntha Seth helped the man, who had one of his legs severely wounded, reach a hospital.

According to locals, Seth received information about an ailing man, whose leg was severely wounded and none from the neighborhood helped him since they feared they could be infected by Covid-19.

After learning about it, the officer went himself to the spot and was shocked to see his condition.

Immediately, he took the person in his vehicle to the Mandalia hospital there and later, arranged an ambulance to shift him to Burla for better treatment.

While policemen make headlines for the wrong reasons once in a while, this Khaki man has set an example by helping those who are suffering during the pandemic.
