Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Satya Prakash Swain, the former Superintendent of Jharpada Special Jail, Bhubaneswar for possessing huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Based on searches conducted on properties of Swain, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 1 Four Storeyed Building worth over Rs. 1.5 crore in BBSR, 4 High-value plots, Household articles worth over Rs.15 Lakhs, etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily.
Following this, Swain has been placed under arrest and will be forwarded to the Court today.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No. 19 /2024 has been registered against the accused.
