JEE Main 2020 has been officially postponed to the last week of May, and the admit cards for the same will be given in the second half of April, a notification issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) stated today.
The NTA said that the exact date will be announced after assessing the situation in the coming weeks. The JEE Main 2020 examinations were scheduled to be held on 5th, 7th to 9th and 11th April 2020.
“We are hopeful that we would get back to normal relatively soon; but for now, we are closely monitoring the scenario to evaluate if the situation may necessitate any change in the schedule. Accordingly, the Admit Cards for the Examination will now be issued after 15th April 2020 based on the situation at that time,” says the notification from NTA.

JEE Main 2020 examinations require examinees to travel to other centres and sometimes even other cities to give the papers. With the ongoing Coronavirus situation in the country, a lockdown of 21 days has been ordered by the Government of India barring citizens from leaving their homes.
NTA says that they will keep students updated about the latest developments and will also inform them about changes and exact dates of examination much in advance.
