New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main 2020 exam that was scheduled for April 5,7,9 and 11.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has ordered to reschedule the engineering entrance exam, JEE Main.
New exam dates will be announced on March 31, as per the communique released by the Ministry.
Candidates will be able to download their admit card from March 31 onwards at nta.jeemain.nic.in.
The postponement has been following the Indian government orders to cancel all exams including JEE, CBSE board exams in the wake of spreading coronavirus in the country.
An order issued by Amit Khare, the HRD secretary reads.“Since JEE main may require travel by examinees…and the dates may clash with rescheduled CBSE and other board exams, therefore JEE main should be rescheduled and new dates of the JEE mains will be announced on 31.3.2020 after reassessment of the situation.”
In furtherance to the notice issued by HRD Ministry, all students are also being informed individually through their registered mobile number/ email-id. Students and parents may call on 0120-6895200 helpline number for any further clarification.
HRD Ministry, on March 18, issued a notice for postponing all university and board exams scheduled till March 31. The instructions were issued to CBSE to postpone all scheduled examination along with any evaluation work. Also, the HRD Ministry proposed rescheduling of JEE Main 2020 examination, which necessitates travel for many students.
