Jagannath Pradhan resigns from BJP

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party citing dissatisfaction over the selection of Bhubaneswar organizational district president.

Pradhan has sent his resignation to the BJP state president on Tuesday. He was the saffron party’s candidate from Bhubaneswar Central Assembly constituency in the last election.

Pradhan, in his letter to state BJP chief, said that he has put in his papers due to personal reasons. He said that he has been serving the party for the last twenty-five years. But as he could not give enough time to the party there was no alternative than to resign from the party.

The senior leader also apologized for the act and added that he will continue to extend full cooperation to the party even if he is not a member of the party.

Today, the Odisha unit of BJP named Babu Singh as the president of Bhubaneswar organizational district and advocate Debendra Mohanty as Kalahandi district president.
