Jaga-Balia to come Bhubaneswar soon: Health Minister


Bhubaneswar: Health Minister Naba Kishore Das today informed in the State Assembly that the separated conjoined twins Jaga-Balia will be shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar once the hospital gives permission for the same.

According to reports, AIIMS Delhi authorities wish to discharge the separated conjoined twins Jaga-Balia of Kandhamal district. AIIMS New Delhi has been asked to speak to officials of its Bhubaneswar branch.

The twins will be shifted once the AIIMS Bhubaneswar gives permission. Odisha government is ready to extend all kind of support for their further treatment, the Health Minister said.

In the last week of June, National Health Mission (NHM) Odisha MD Shalini Pandit, who is monitoring the health of the twins, informed that they are ready to get discharged and the AIIMS New Delhi will soon issue a medical advisory to Odisha Government regarding the mode of transportation for their shifting, reports added.
