ISI chief in soup over Taliban terrorist’s escape


Islamabad: The Director-General of Pakistan’s ISI is in soup over the escape of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan from Army’s custody.

Media reports said Pakistan may soon sack Lt Gen Faiz Hameed. The reports further said the Pakistan Army came under tremendous pressure by the public as soon as the news of Ehsan’s escape was broken on February 7.

Ehsan was responsible for terror attacks on Malala Yousufzai and the Peshawar army school.

Reports said the terrorist managed to escape from the custody of Pakistan Army and intelligence agencies on January 11.

Prime Minister Imran Khan held a one-on-one meeting with Lt Gen Hameed to discuss the case that has now triggered outcry in the country.
