India’s Covid Tally crosses 5-Lakh Mark, Death Toll at 15,685


New Delhi: With India reporting 18,552 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19 infections crossed the 5 lakh-mark.

The total tally reached 5,08,953 on Saturday including 1,97,387 active cases and 2,95,881 recoveries. Also, as many as 384 deaths in a day pushed the total fatalities to 15,685.

  • Active Cases: 1,97,387
  • Cured/Discharged: 2,95,880

  • Deaths: 15,685

Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected by the coronavirus outbreak in the country with Covid-19 tally crossing 1.5 lakh. The total number of positive cases in the state has climbed to 1,52,765 and 7,106 deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry.

Delhi has become the second-worst hit in the country with 77,240 Covid-19 cases and 2,492 deaths. Tamil Nadu is placed at the third spot having reported 74,622 confirmed cases and 957 deaths, followed by Gujarat (30,095 cases, 1,771 deaths), Uttar Pradesh (20,943 cases, 630 deaths), and Rajasthan (16,660 cases, 380 deaths).
