India’s coronavirus cases rise to 7.67 lakh; death toll at 21,129

New Delhi: India’s coronavirus cases mounted to 7.6 lakh on Thursday after nearly 25,000 fresh cases and 487 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 7,67,296, according to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry. This number includes cases involving foreign nationals, patients who have recovered and the death toll.

The death toll in India due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has risen to 21,129.

The reported active COVID-19 cases in India now stand at 2,69,789, according to the Union Health Ministry.

As many as 4,76,378 COVID-19 patients have been cured and discharged so far.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said that 1.07 crore samples were tested for COVID-19 in the country till yesterday (July 8). Of these, 2,67,061 were tested yesterday.
