New Delhi: India’s Covid-19 tally reached to 4,46,42,742 with 1,994 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry data update.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases of the infection has declined to 23,432.
The active cases comprise 0.05 per cent of the total infections, the Ministry said.
The death count due to the viral disease has gone up to 5,28,961 with four more fatalities, according to the data.
Now, the active cases account for 0.05 per cent of the total caseload, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.76 per cent, it added.
The daily positivity rate stands at 1.24% and the weekly positivity rate at 0.99%.
The country has conducted over 90.0 crore covid tests till date, while 1,61,290 were done in the last 24 hours.
Under India’s covid vaccination drive, more than 19.55 crore vaccine doses have been administered to eligible people across the country.
