New Delhi: India recorded 1,946 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Monday, the total recovery rate reached at around 98.75 per cent and total recoveries data reached 4,40,79,485.
The total active cases of COVID-19 in India have increased to 25,968, the health ministry data showed today.
The active cases comprise 0.06 per cent of the total infections, the ministry said.
The daily positivity rate stands at 0.75% and the weekly positivity rate at 1.01%, according to the ministry. The case fatality rate has been recorded at 1.19%, it said.
The country has conducted over 89.86 crore covid tests till date, while 1,10,863 were done in the last 24 hours.
Under India’s covid vaccination drive, more than 219.41 crore vaccine doses have been administered to eligible people across the country.
