New Delhi: India on Saturday reported 19,078 new COVID cases, 22,926 recoveries, and 224 deaths in last 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union health ministry.
The total number of positive cases in the country has shot up to 1,03,05,788.
On the other hand, as many as 224 coronavirus patients succumbed to the infection in a day, taking the toll in India to 1,49,218.
Meanwhile, of the total positive cases, there are 2,50,183 active Covid cases and 99,06,387 recovered cases in the country, the health ministry said.
Five states across the country have contributed nearly 62% of the country’s active cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), which stands at 254,254, the Union ministry of health and family welfare said.
