New Delhi: India’s tally of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) climbed to 1,03,56,844 after 16,375 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare on Tuesday.
In this period, India reported 201 deaths linked to the virus, taking the total number of fatalities to 1,49,850.
There are 231,036 active cases of Covid-19 and 9,975,958 people have recovered from the viral disease so far.
A total of 17,65,31,997 samples have been tested for COVID-19 up to 4 January, of which 8,96,236 had been tested on Monday, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.
