New Delhi: India reported 16,135 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
With this, the active cases now stand at 1,13,864.
On the other hand, as many as 4,28,79,477 patients have been discharged, the health ministry data also shows.
In the same period, as many as 24 people succumbed due to the viral disease, with the total fatalities rising to 525,223.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.85 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.81 percent, according to the ministry.
As many as 863,999,907, samples have been tested till now, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) tweeted.
